EXPLAIN UNIT: class 10 math syllabus 2024-25 cbse board

I. NUMBER SYSTEMS (06): This unit deals with the study of different types of numbers, such as natural numbers, whole numbers, integers, rational numbers, irrational numbers, etc. It also covers operations on these numbers, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

II. ALGEBRA (20): Algebra involves the study of mathematical symbols and the rules for manipulating these symbols. It includes topics like algebraic expressions, equations, inequalities, polynomials, factorization, and algebraic identities.

III. COORDINATE GEOMETRY (06): Coordinate geometry studies geometry using coordinate points. It relates algebraic expressions to geometric shapes. Topics covered include Cartesian coordinates, distance formula, section formula, slope of a line, and various equations of lines and curves.

IV. GEOMETRY (15): Geometry deals with the study of shapes, sizes, properties, and spatial relationships of objects. Topics typically include basic geometric shapes like triangles, quadrilaterals, circles, and polygons, along with their properties, congruence, similarity, and theorems related to them.

V. TRIGONOMETRY (12): Trigonometry is the study of relationships involving lengths and angles of triangles. It covers trigonometric ratios, trigonometric identities, trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent), inverse trigonometric functions, and their applications in solving triangles and real-world problems.

VI. MENSURATION (10): Mensuration involves the study of the measurement of geometric figures and their parameters such as area, perimeter, volume, surface area, etc. It includes topics like areas and volumes of various geometric shapes like rectangles, circles, cubes, cylinders, cones, and spheres.

VII. STATISTICS & PROBABILITY: This unit covers the basics of statistics and probability. It includes topics like data representation (mean, median, mode), probability theory, random experiments, events, permutations, combinations, and their applications in real-life situations.
